Toys
The Toy Collection at the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum includes a variety of vintage tin toys, antique windup and pull toys, rare toy tractors, and collectible characters and stuffed animals.
An icon of American toys, Fisher Price Toys® was created in 1930 by Herman Fisher, Irving Price, and equal partner without the acclaim, Helen Shelle. Our museum holds one of the nations finest collections of early Fisher Price Toys®. One of the first licensed toy by the company is on display with 67 other pull toys, plus numerous other toys by the company.
Jigs and Maggie, Little Abner Band, and Howdy Doody are some of the fine original tin windup toys we have from the 1930's, 40's and 50's.
Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Popeye share space with Sesame Street® and Rolie Polie Olie. Wild West heroes Lone Ranger, Johnny West and John Wayne represent one frontier while four cases of Star Wars® and other space figures represent another. Comic strips and animated films are recalled by our Super Heroes, Ninja Turtles, Toy Story® figures, Dick Tracy collectibles, Bat Man, and many Disney film characters.
An almost forgotten toy, Tops number over 170 in this fabulous collection from all over the world.
